THE STORY CONTINUES
Season 1.
Helena and Carlos face Paula and Sheila's obsession in order to live a true love. Amidst daily conflicts, different ways of loving and starting over emerge.
01Chapter 1
Zuleika organizes Paula and Carlos' wedding party. Caio and Joyce kiss in her room, and Helena reprimands them. Sheila organizes a surprise party for Carlos at the clinic.
02Chapter 2
Carlos goes to the clinic with Joyce. Paula is desperate because her fiancé is late. Carlos arrives and Rômulo apologizes to the guests. Helena sees Joyce is injured.
03Chapter 3
Joyce tells Helena about her pregnancy, and Helena decides to support her. Carlos wakes up, grabs Joyce's diary, and goes to her house. Helena's car breaks down, and Assunção helps her push it.
04Chapter 4
Carlos and Paula arrive at his house in Teresópolis for a short honeymoon. Sheila tells Olga that she's sure she'll get back together with Carlos. Paula leaves alone on horseback.
05Chapter 5
Helena tells Assunção how Joyce got hurt, omitting the pregnancy. Carlos takes Paula to the hospital. Carlos meets Joyce at a beer garden, and Helena sees him from afar.
06Chapter 6
Joyce introduces Helena to Carlos. Carlos drops Helena off at home, and she invites him for coffee. Paula looks for Carlos at Sheila's house and sees photos of her husband with his former lover.
07Chapter 7
Paula barges into Carlos's office, causing a scene in front of Helena and Joyce. Joyce asks Assunção to lend Helena money, but he refuses.
08Chapter 8
Joyce borrows money for Helena to pay for the car repairs. Joyce dreams that Caio tries to rape her and that she kills him. Carlos goes to his apartment alone and finds Paula in bed.

Paula and Carlos reconcile. Daniel confesses his feelings to Sheila. Caio is bothered by Vandinha's indifference. Zuleika wants to sell the house. Helena can't stop thinking about Carlos.
10Chapter 10
Carlos and Paula arrive at his house in Araras, and he tells the employees that Paula is now the owner of the house. Luizinho is almost run over on the bike path, but Assunção saves him.
11Chapter 11
Paula finds a photo album of Carlos with Sheila and gets upset. Marta suggests that Xavier sell hot dogs. Joyce tells Soninha that she really wants to have the baby.
12Chapter 12
Caio asks Joyce if she told Assunção about the baby and insists she have an abortion. Carlos saves Luizinho from being run over.
13Chapter 13
Joyce remembers when she met Caio and goes to the clinic to confide in Carlos. Paula questions Carlos about Helena. Paula and Sheila meet at a restaurant and confront each other.
14Chapter 14
Luizinho is run over. Helena and Valkíria are notified of Luizinho's accident and go to the hospital. Carlos goes to Helena's house and gets the hospital's address from Ritinha.
15Chapter 15
Carlos explains Luizinho's condition to Assunção and Valkíria. Sheila tells Yara that she's leaving the clinic. Luizinho's surgery is a success.
16Chapter 16
Caio tells Joyce that he likes her very much and they end up kissing. Paula is desperate because Carlos hasn't come home and he doesn't have his cell phone.

Carlos arrives home and finds Paula asleep in the Indian cook's lap. Helena finds Joyce's CD, reads Caio's note, becomes distraught, and has a terrible argument with her daughter.
18Chapter 18
Marta tells Helena that she's making her interest in Carlos clear. Joyce complains to Carlos about her mother, but he ignores her. Joyce says that Carlos and Helena like each other, but he denies it.
19Chapter 19
Joyce looks for Caio after seeing a photo of him with Vandinha in a magazine. Chica tells Paula that Zuleika and Rômulo had a fight. Joyce provokes Helena, and she slaps her daughter in the face.
20Chapter 20
Joyce asks to spend a few days at Assunção's house and starts feeling nauseous at her father's. Helena cries when she remembers Carlos. Rômulo tells Zuleika that they lost their house.
21Chapter 21
Assunção notices Joyce's belly. Zuleika discovers that the house is going to auction. Paula and Carlos have dinner at Olga's house. At night, Zuleika says goodbye to the house and cries.
22Chapter 22
Helena and Joyce meet at Assunção's apartment and become emotional. Carlos treats Helena distantly. Carlos receives a postcard from Sheila. Joyce returns home.

Helena apologizes to Joyce for the slap. Zuleika asks for a job at Carlos's clinic. Luizinho goes to the beach for the first time since the accident.

Assunção chases after Caio, who escapes. Zuleika tells Paula that she's going to work at the clinic and receives her daughter's support. Valkíria hides Assunção's revolver in the freezer.

Assunção and Urbano argue, and the neighbors break up the fight. Paula and Carlos make up. Vandinha asks Caio out. Joyce tells Helena that Carlos distanced himself because of her.

Joyce confesses to Helena that she told Carlos that her mother liked him. Joyce meets Caio and asks him to stay away from her. Zuleika is nervous about her first day of work.

Joyce becomes desperate and blames Helena for her father's accident. Paula has a jealous outburst at the clinic upon learning that Carlos comforted Helena at the hospital. Carlos calls Helena.

Joyce is furious about her daughter's room. Sheila talks to Carlos and says she's been depressed. Valkyrie is moved when she sees Assunção in the hospital bed. Carlos goes to Helena's house.

Luizinho and Joyce visit Assunção, and he is moved to see his children again. Assunção despairs when he realizes he can't feel his legs. Olga comforts Helena. Luizinho sees his father move his foot.

Luizinho sees Assunção move and calls the nurse. Sheila sees Bianca kissing Daniel and is devastated. Joyce tells Helena that she will stay at her father's house while he is in the hospital.

Assunção is afraid of becoming disabled. Maristela asks to stay at Zuleika's house. Assunção asks to speak with Helena. Helena is shocked to see Assunção in a wheelchair.

Assunção forgives Helena and reveals that she dreamed of her granddaughter and the family reunited at Christmas. Carlos gives Zuleika and Rômulo a trip as a gift. Caio finds Bruno at Joyce's house.

Joyce's water breaks. Gomide asks Maristela for a divorce. Sheila mocks Paula because Carlos was with Helena on Christmas Eve. Joyce undergoes surgery.

Paula pressures Carlos to decide which woman he wants to be with, and he leaves her alone and furious. Joyce's daughter is born. Helena goes to see her granddaughter in the incubator, and Assunção arrives just in time.

Zuleika informs Mariana that Neusa will be the housekeeper. Assunção receives a sports award. Joyce takes Alice for a walk on the beach; Caio drives by and sees them.

Helena is strolling through the mall with her granddaughter. Joyce invites Bruno to baptize Alice. Helena sees Caio at the mall and calls him over to see Alice. Joyce sees Caio holding Alice.

Joyce takes Alice off Caio's lap. Sheila tells Carlos that she has decided to take a few days off from the clinic. Zuleika hints to Rômulo that Paula is pregnant.
